Weekend

On the tractor
Friday - we had bright sunshine.  It was so lovely that I even put on a dress!!!!  Tom had his swimming lesson down at the pool, which is also a sun trap, so we headed over quite early and enjoyed basking in the sun and catching up with all the other parents.
After the baling

The afternoon was spent at the Atkinsons.  Now we were incredibly lucky here as the fields directly behind their barn had just been mown, and the baling tractors arrived.  Caroline has a good relationship with the tractor drivers which meant that the children were allowed in the tractors whilst the grass got collected up and turned into bales.  How cool is that?  The children were overjoyed and sat in the tractors as good as gold.

Sinker success!
Saturday, Tom wanted to go to Ingleton pool again so he went to the morning session as it was sunny again and the afternoon sessions get rammed.  He had a great time by himself - I daren't go in the pool with him now after my last session with him.

In the afternoon we spent some time watching Matt play cricket and some time having water fights and making jelly and chocolate cornflake cakes.

Distant Vulcan
Sunday Tom played cricket in the morning, we then found out that a Vulcan was going to fly overhead a couple of villages away so we went in search of it, unfortunately there was low cloud so it flew a couple of miles away from the flight path, meaning we saw it in the distance, but we didn't get a very good look at it and we didn't hear it.  Oh hum.

I'm either suffering badly from hay fever, or have a bad cold, so am feeling sorry for myself, so we came home and I soaked in the bath.
