The first week of the holidays was almost like Tom being back at school again - as he was doing football camp from 10am till 3pm. It takes place in the Community field across the road, so a hop, skip and a jump away. I was busy with cakes - I had two cakes and a heap of sugar craft flowers to make so was more than busy for the whole week, meaning the week was a bit of a blur.
It did rain A LOT but the kids didn't seem to mind, and kept on playing. The poor adults minding them were a little fed up of it though! We had Luca round to play on Friday afternoon and Julie and Kevin came round for what should have been a BBQ but ended up being another indoor BBQ as it was tipping with rain. There should have been cricket this evening, and there was, but the heavy rain put us all off, so we gave it a miss. Only one person turned up for cricket that evening! Anyway, we had a good time. Luca crashed around 9pm so they left and we all went to bed.
The holiday proper now begins as all my cakes are finished. Yahooooo.
