I can fall asleep in my rucksack

Another good night. Tom woke up at midnight, went in settled him and that was it until 7am. Today was a busy day. First thing it was waterbabies, so we were up early, changed and breakfasted in time for Tom to go down for his nap early enough to be refreshed for swimming. We did well, Tom had a lovely lesson, not a grizzle from him for the whole session. There was an incident though, a 'foreign object' was found in the pool. It was fished out with a net, it was brown. When I changed Tom at the end of the lesson, I found poo in his nappy. It wasn't the normal poo, but an assortment of undigested food, I've not seen anything like it before. I think that the foreign object probably belonged to him - opps.

After swimming we whizzed to Cannock Chase as it was the West Midlands Translators' Walk. Not a great day, foggy and cold, so we wrapped Tom up in his snow suit and put him in the rucksack. He was impeccably behaved. Full of smiles and laughter, he tolerated everyone coming up and rubbing him on his cheek and he even fell asleep for about 40 minutes which was fantastic as we aren't taking the pram to Japan and won't be in a position everyday where he can have an afternoon nap in a cot. The walk wasn't very difficult, but tiring - Matt and I took it in turns to carry Tom - our feet were aching by the end.

Came home, had dinner, bath, bottle and bed. Then left over curry from yesterday before putting up our weary feet. Think we will be in bed early today.
