Had a lovely bus trip yesterday, which took us to a geothermal power plant, a rampaging waterfall, a geyser field and a national park where Iceland is actually splitting in two and growing at about 2.5cm per year. It's not as if they're short of space here.
It was a beautiful day yesterday, but perishingly cold in the strong wind, even more so during my evening tour to see the northern lights. Conditions were perfect, but they didn't appear. Nik's going tonight, so perhaps she'll have better luck.
It's certainly a starkly beautiful country, and even with their recent currency troubles, it's still eye-wateringly expensive.
We're off for a soak in the Blue Lagoon today, followed by a bit of a look round the city centre.
Will post photos upon our return.
Our bus leaves the hotel at 5.00am tomorrow, so we're really looking forward to that.
