Bounce and Rhyme

Had an ok night last night. Tom woke at 4.20 for feeding and then we both woke again at 7.20, so not too bad. Whilst he had his morning nap, I went to collect Jodie from kennels. Now, I remember the days when I thought that Jodie was heavy to collect in her basket, but today, I picked her up and wondered if there was a cat in there - I guess I have got used to carrying more weight!

Came back, had breakfast and then took Tom to Bounce and Rhyme at Newport library. Is a 30 minute session of singing nursery rhymes and as we are normally at a loose end on a Tuesday I thought I would give it a go. Was quite intimidating as all the mums seemed to know each other, and Tom was the youngest by quite some way. However, he stayed awake and didn't cry so I figure it was a success. Had a wonder around Waitrose before returning home for lunch.

This afternoon brought mixed blessings. I managed to get Tom to sleep in his moses basket for 40 mins - but took 3 attempts. Then once up we had a mixture of crying, sleeping, a monster poo and being good. Never got to the bottom of the crying.

He is now with his dad having a bath - his favourite time of the day.
