Within a couple of hours of getting back, the admirers starting arriving to come and see their grandson/nephew. He sat quite nicely on Grannie, Grandpa and Auntie Jude. Particularly Auntie Jude, in fact, on whom he looked thoroughly at home. See the photographic evidence. Mind you, Grandpa seems to be doing a pretty good job too. All in all, he behaved very well for everyone; didn't throw up anyone or produce any Elvis-esque quivery lips. He's also better off the tune of a beautiful pewter music box, a Thomas the Tank Engine (we wondered how long it would take) moneybox and a classic old-style teddy bear.
Still, the little chap doesn't have long to recover from the exertions of today, as Granma and Pop arrive from Devon tomorrow, so we've told him to expect significant levels of spoiling for the next few days.
Mind you, he wasn't the only one being spoiled today. The postman delivered a rather splendid Fortnum & Mason cheese & wine case at 8:30 this morning. I wonder who that was aimed at? No prizes fo r guessing what we had for lunch. I wonder what we'll be having for lunch for tomorrow as well....
