Grannie & Grandpa come to visit

Today saw Grannie & Grandpa make the trip up from London to see Tom. They hadn't seen seem him since he was 4 days old, since when he has very nearly doubled in weight and looks almost nothing like the tiny little soul he was back then. Was it really only 2 months ago? Unbelievable. I can hardly remember life before Tom.

On the subject of milestones, today was the first time we used our garden furniture for around 18 months. Last summer was so dreadful, we didn't get it out of the shed even once. It felt very nice to be sitting on the lawn with drinks and snacks. Let's hope it comes out much more often this year.

It was another beautiful day, so we all decided to take a stroll round Granville Nature Reserve with Tom in the pram. We got some much-needed exercise and Tom got some much-needed (eh?) shut-eye. We had to do the short version of the walk as none of us fancied lugging the pram up 50-odd chunky steps to the hilltop viewpoint. Still, it was a nice trip out.

Grannie & Grandpa headed back about 4.00, but it'll only be 3 weeks until we see them again, as we're taking Tom on a tour to meet lots of Southern relations/friends at the start of May.

We dressed Tom up in his motorbike outfit today to mark the start of the MotoGP season, but it's a night race, so Tom won't be able to stay up and cheer Valentino on this time.
