Well, both Matt and I are shattered, so this will be a short entry. Today was the NCT reunion. We were praying for a nice day so we could have a bbq outside. It dawned very cloudy so we were quite anxious, however, by noon the clouds broke and the sun came out - phew - I have no idea how we would have fitted 13 adults, 2 children and 5 babies in our lounge?!
Everyone came up trumps with food - we certainly had a great spread. Bridget our NCT teacher also managed to come along (amazing as she has 4 children of her own), she was incredibly broody - wouldn't be surprised if number 5 came along...
Between hosting and breastfeeding, I didn't really get a chance to talk to many people, even had to ask Errol to help out with the BBQ which I feel guilty about. Lisa, Cameron, Maggie and Tamsin also popped in (on their way back from holiday in Cornwall) - didn't really get to speak to them either (not sure what I was doing as I didn't seem to find time to talk to anyone?)
Anyway, I think everyone had a good time and some loose plans were made to do it again and to have some other meet ups. All the babies have certainly grown since last time we met and it was interesting listening to the other parents and hearing how they deal with the challenges they come up against. It certainly is true that every baby is different and that parenting is trial and error. Anyway everyone seemed well and happy. Unfortunately I didn't get round to taking any photos, except when Tom was asleep before it started - but Matt did manage some video footage.
