Happier Day

Feeling much better today, thank you everyone, it's good to know we have such good friends. Tom slept well last night - he woke at 1am, but got himself back off to sleep without any intervention. He then woke at 4 and needed a little help, and then at 6 he was wide, wide, wide awake. I unfortunately still didn't get much, I couldn't get back to sleep after the 1am wake up, and once again my back was aching badly - oh humm.

This morning Tom had weetabix and prunes for breakfast - diluted with some cows milk. He enjoyed it, almost managed half a bix (is that the right expression?) which seemed a huge portion - you can see the remnants of it in the pic. He had a good portion of breast milk at 10.30, but was uninterested in his lunch, deciding that breast milk was better. I'm not going to argue against that, we will see what he eats for dinner.

Lunchtime saw us at the Golf Club to meet the girls. Tom is now officially the smallest of the babies. However, Amanda (who is a nurse) said that it is normal for breastfed babies to get big quickly and then level off, whilst formula fed babies tend to be small initially and then catch up - so this could be Tom's natural curve, although I still think 2oz in 4 weeks is too little, but I'm not depressed about it today.

2pm saw us back at Hadley for another swimming session with Lou, Jessica & Rachel and Mae, they all really enjoyed it and we have rebooked for next week. Tom once again was fairly chilled out and went under water without too much trouble. Rachel bought along a swimming aid for Mae - a ring which babies sit in, Tom had a go and absolutely loved it - I feel a trip to T K Maxx coming on...
